Born in Abilene, Texas, and raised in Dallas, Lawrence R. (Larry) Bell graduated from Highland Park High School. While still a student at Rice University in Houston, he began a career in insurance and subsequently real estate. He was a CLU, Life Member of The Million Dollar Round Table, and the youngest agent in the history of Northwestern Mutual Life to sell in excess of $3,000,000 of life insurance in 1969. He was twice NML's National College Agent of the Year. Later, as a General Agent for General American Life, his agency's sales led the company nationally in 1982. He served as Chairman of the that company's General Agents' Advisory Council, the highest honor in the company for the field force. Mr. Bell has been a licensed real estate broker since 1974. He is a recognized expert in the commercial real estate industry specializing in tenant representation. He has represented some of the largest companies across the nation. His company, Office-America, developed a state-of-the-art database consisting of buildings, tenants, available direct and sublease space, and brokers. In 1981, Mr. Bell founded the Houston's resident professional choral music organization, Concert Chorale of Houston (later shortened to "Houston Chorale"). As Board Chairman and Executive Director, he organized a sold out Jones Hall performance of Handel's Messiah in 1982, which was aired in a nationally televised 3-hour broadcast on PBS on Christmas morning. In conjunction with KUHT TV, Channel 8, he organized, raised most of the funding, and was Executive Producer for this project. In the late 1990's, Mr. Bell closed Office-America to join forces with Cushman & Wakefield, one of the world's largest and best commercial real estate brokerages. Now, Mr. Bell is enjoying more leisure time with his wife, Anne, in Georgetown, Texas. The two are operating Nacq Partners, Ltd. Nacq has three e-commerce businesses which market antique porcelain and glassware, digital picture printing and framing, as well as Mr. Bell's recent decision to share his decades of expertise as an office tenant representation broker. Nacq has recently opened a walk-in store as well. He and his wife boast 6 children between them, and 5 grandchildren. Education Bachelor of Arts, Rice University Personal Born 3/16/45.
